Michael Risman is running for a four-year Councilmember seat on the Orchard Park Town Board.
Mike is an attorney with more than 30 years of experience representing municipalities. Risman is currently a partner with the law firm Hodgson Russ, where he focuses on municipal litigation. Before joining Hodgson Russ, Risman served as corporation counsel for the City of Buffalo from 1997 to 2006. While heading the department of law for the City, he served as chief counsel for the City of Buffalo, the mayor of the City of Buffalo, the Buffalo Common Council, the Buffalo Board of Education, and more.
Mike’s experience in government and understanding of municipal procedures and issues have helped him assist public officials and attorneys with legal strategies to benefit taxpayers. Risman was also a lecturer on municipal law at the University at Buffalo School of Law for nearly a decade.
